Joon Dance is a small independent company formed by Zosia Jo in 2008 and formalised in 2011 with the goal of increasing practice and performance of contemporary dance in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. Joon Dance believe that EVERY BODY is a DANCING BODY and create performance work with and for communities across South Wales and beyond. Now practising primarily in Pembrokeshire and Cardiff, Joon has expanded to include previous students turned collaborators Sophie Lorimer, Indigo Tarran, Ciara MacFarlane and Caitlin Howe. Our style has evolved and changed over the years and we love incorporating contemporary and urban dance styles, circus skills,  physical theatre and even design. Creativity and a person centred approach has always characterised our work and now we specialise in improvisation, somatic and site responvives dance making. Core to Joon Dance is our annual summer school during which participants and professionals work hand in hand to produce a performance together; followed closely by our outdoor Gather/Casglu events when we invite people of all ages to move in, on, around and in response to the beautiful landscape of Pembrokeshire.
